Retro computer collection

Over the last few years I've become interested in the history of the personal computer dating back to the mid 1970's.  My interest began in early 1997 when I first started work as a software developer, shortly after graduating university.  At the time I'd purchased a copy of Microsoft's Visual Basic 5.0, which had just been released, on the CD was an into video that had an Altair computer in it.  The presenter mentioned that the Altair was the first personal computer, and Microsoft's very first product was a version of Basic for the Altair, (see video on the Altair page).  The video sparked my interest in the Altair and I started doing some research on it.  Over the years I'd occasionally re-kindle my interest in the Altiar, but it wasn't until 2011 that I managed to get one.

Since getting the Altiar I’ve also collected some other historically significant computers including an Apple II Plus, an IBM 5150 and a Macintosh 128k.  One of my main goals with all these systems is to restore them to a usable condition.
